A veteran of the IT industry, Andy boasts many years’ experience in the thin client/virtualization sector, having spent the last 16 years helping to establish US and European thin client and virtualisation software start-ups in the UK and EMEA market
As European Sales Director for Netier Technologies, Andy opened up their distribution network in 5 major European countries and established Netier as a leading thin client vendor in the region. In 2001 Netier was acquired by Wyse Technology.
Joining Wyse, Andy established their South African and Nordic markets and helped establish Wyse as the no.1 thin client vendor in these regions.
In 2005, Andy moved to Igel technology and opened up their UK operation as Country Sales Manager, helping establish them as the UK’s third largest thin client vendor in less than two years.
Andy joined Appstream – pioneers in Application streaming technologies – in 2007 (acquired by Symantec in 2008) and was instrumental in launching the Symantec Endpoint Virtualisation Business unit in EMEA.
After a brief spell with Dell Software Group, Andy joined FSLogix – a leading innovator of solutions that enable the enterprise virtual workspace – and established their EMEA channel presence and End User customer base.
In summary, Andy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the sale and support of application and desktop virtualisation solutions.
As a complement to Andy’s extensive sales & management skills, Nic brings a wealth of technical knowledge and experience. Since last century(!), US companies have employed Nic to establish software products outside of their home market, acting as a trusted advocate with extensive IT knowledge – working with engineering, partners and customers to deliver excellent solutions.
Performing as the go-to guy has meant covering roles in locum for US and Indian teams ranging from product and project manager, pre-sales engineer, strategist, public speaker to exhibition booth bunny.
From 2008, Nic enjoyed 8 years with Symantec working on a series of incubator projects including application virtualization and streaming, specialist multi-role virtual workspace management, mobile device and application management and mobile endpoint security. Open-source and Microsoft SaaS and on-premises platforms were key to all projects.
Prior to Symantec, Nic also worked for AppStream, WYSE and Netier in various subject-matter-expert roles, gaining much experience in solution development, training and deployment of VDI on thin-clients.
Starting out designing with technology such as DEC PDP-11 and paper-tape, Nic is still fascinated by all things IT – currently delving into Docker containerization, Meteor framework and the Internet of Things.
